Speaker

Help your people move forward.

Practical talks on handling change, earning trust, and building with AI. Real stories, with a next step your audience can use.

My perspective comes from nearly a decade in sales and leadership, the journey from roughly 285 pounds to a marathon, and building software I use myself.

What I talk about.

Three talks drawn from different parts of my life.

Resilience & transformation

Do It Anyways

How to Keep Moving When the Plan Falls Apart

For teams, leaders, and people navigating change.

I’ve had to change plans in my career, my health, and what I’m building. In this talk, I share what helped me keep going and how I learned to adjust without giving up on what mattered to me.

What the audience takes away

  • Separate the mission from the original plan.
  • Build consistency without relying entirely on motivation.
  • Recover quickly after setbacks.
  • Understand when persistence requires adjustment instead of more force.
  • Keep moving when results are delayed.

The plan can change without the goal changing.

Practical AI & human performance

The Person Is the Asset

How to Win in the AI Era Without Losing What Makes Us Human

For businesses and teams finding their direction in the AI era.

Learning to build with AI has opened up possibilities I didn’t have before. It has also made me think harder about what I bring to the work. This talk is about using AI, continuing to learn, and taking care of the judgment and relationships people still depend on.

What the audience takes away

  • Use AI to support your work while developing your own skills.
  • Identify the work automation should remove.
  • Understand why relationships become more important in an AI-driven economy.
  • Move from AI consumer to AI builder.
  • Put what you’re learning into something you can build and own.

AI is leverage. The person you become is the asset.

Leadership & trust

Lead Without the Title

Why People Give You Permission to Lead

For leaders, managers, and people growing into responsibility.

Nearly a decade in sales and leadership taught me that people pay attention to how you treat them, especially when things get difficult. I share what I’ve learned about earning trust, having honest conversations, and helping people grow beyond the role they started in.

What the audience takes away

  • Earn trust through care, clarity, and follow-through.
  • Hold standards without humiliating people.
  • Coach people toward capability, not dependence.

A title gives you authority. Respect gives you permission to lead.

Let’s find the right format.

For event organizers

A short introduction.

John Castor is a leader, marathon runner, builder, founder, and speaker. He grew up in Haiti and came to America as a child.

His talks draw on nearly a decade in sales and leadership, his journey from roughly 285 pounds to running a marathon, and his experience teaching himself to build software with AI. He earned his business degree in 2023 and is now building products and companies, including Kouri and Limye.

His work is grounded in one belief: when the plan changes, the mission doesn’t have to.

Tell me about your event.

Who will be there, what are they working through, and what would you like them to take away?

Can the talk be tailored to our audience?

Yes. Tell me who will be in the room, what they’re facing, and what you want them to leave ready to do. We can shape the topic, format, and emphasis around that.

What should I include in an inquiry?

The event, date, location or virtual format, audience size, and the problem you want to address. Early-stage ideas are welcome too.

Does an inquiry confirm a booking?

No. It starts a conversation about fit, availability, and the details of your event.
