The problem
A plan can tell you what to run on Tuesday. It doesn’t always help you work out what to do when you’re tired, your schedule changes, or the run goes differently than expected. I wanted help with those decisions.

I’m building the running coach I wanted when I was learning how to train. Kouri brings training plans, run tracking, and coaching together on iPhone and Apple Watch.

I’m building an iPhone and Apple Watch app with run tracking, training plans, and AI coaching. Much of the work is making those pieces work together in a way that makes sense while you’re actually running.
I’m the founder, working on the product, the software, and the coaching experience. I’m also a runner using what I build.
I started with iPhone and Apple Watch because that’s where I wanted to use it. I keep coming back to clear controls, reliable run tracking, and coaching grounded in the information the app actually has. A suggestion that reads well on a screen might be useless halfway through a run. I have to think about timing, incomplete information, and how much a runner can take in while moving.
Kouri is in active development. One moment that mattered to me was completing a real run with software I’d built working on my iPhone. There’s still more to do. Using the app on a run teaches me things I can’t learn at my desk. It keeps me focused on what a runner actually needs.
